Phive announces VP of Business Development 
Senior Management Position to Target Thin Film Solar Applications

Phive Plasma Technologies announced today that it has named Nick O'Connor as Vice President of Business Development. "Nick brings extensive semiconductor and solar experience that will allow us to maximize our tremendous opportunity in the thin film solar market" said Bernard Hensey, CEO of Phive. O'Connor, who used to work for Applied Materials is based in Silicon Valley and will be responsible for implementing the customer and partner development portion of Phive's solar strategy.

O'Connor brings with him more than 17 years of semiconductor and solar industry experience. While at Applied Materials he worked on various technologies spanning Metal Deposition to Transistor Thermal Processes, holding positions of increasing responsibility in hardware/process support, customer facing program management, marketing and business development.

Since leaving Applied Materials two years ago, Nick has built up a large network of contacts within the Silicon Valley clean technology community. In 2007 he co-founded nPrint Solutions a nano-imprinting technology company targeting solar applications. An advocate for clean energy, Nick is also on the organizing team of the Berkeley Stanford Clean Technology Series.

Nick has a Bachelor of Science Honor's Degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from the National University of Ireland, Galway and hold's dual MBA's from Berkeley and Columbia with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Finance.
